Terrence Malicks’ Canne’s Film Festival Palme d’Or Award winning motion picture “The Tree Of Life” is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking pieces of cinema I have ever seen.
I will be honest, I think the intense and incredibly personal narrative is extremely hard to follow and I don’t fully understand, however I find it hard to not appreciate this films pure fresh and simple beauty on-screen. The use of stunning footage and scenes in how the Universe was created, Evolution, the amazing power of nature and the human life cycle along with the phenomenal soundtrack by the amazing Alexandre Desplat makes this film an absolute masterpiece.
Jessica Chastain’s performance should not in any way be over looked. She is incredible at playing the mother of a very complex family that is very much connected to nature.
I do believe this Film could be seen as a piece of Art; however this depends on your opinion in how you receive the film.
I may also watch this again so I fully understand the narrative.
